Atanas Valkov is a Polish-Bulgarian composer, platinum music producer, and multi-instrumentalist working across film, television, video games, and international media projects. His music blends orchestral writing, modern electronics, and influences from Eastern European and Middle Eastern traditions.

He is the main prize winner of the Berlinale Film Score Competition and a Fryderyk Award nominee for his score for The King of Warsaw, which also received both the Jury and Audience Awards at the Krakow Film Music Festival (FMF). His work has also been nominated for the European Talent Award at Soundtrack_Cologne and Best Score at the Golden Orange International Film Festival.

Valkov has composed music for over 40 film, television, and documentary productions, collaborating with directors including Tomasz Bagiński, Jan P. Matuszyński, Łukasz Palkowski, and Michał Kwieciński. His credits include productions such as The King of Warsaw, The Teacher (Belfer), The Trap, Deep Love (HBO), Polish Legends, and BODO.

Internationally, he composed and produced the full soundtrack for the video game Vampire: The Masquerade – BloodHunt, released by Laced Records, and collaborated with the European Space Agency (ESA) on the album Ambition, combining real space mission sounds with hybrid orchestral-electronic music.

Alongside film scoring, he composes music for international advertising and branded campaigns in Europe and the United States, working with global agencies and organizations. His work includes the viral Amnesty International campaign Look Beyond Borders, which reached over 41 million viewers, and the global humanitarian campaign Save the Children – Team Tomorrow.

He is also the producer and arranger behind Kayah & Transoriental Orchestra, whose album achieved gold and platinum record status.

Valkov’s music combines cinematic storytelling, modern production, and cross-cultural influences, making it well suited for film, television, video games, advertising, and international sync projects.
